FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Your questions about kinesiology, breathwork and therapeutic yoga

Everything people ask me before a first session. If your question is not here, write to me or call me.

Understanding

What is kinesiology, and is it serious?

Kinesiology is a gentle method that uses muscle testing, a light pressure applied to a muscle, to identify emotional, physical and energetic imbalances, then help the body regain its balance. I am registered with the RME (Swiss Register of Empirical Medicine), whose quality label is a reference for many supplementary insurers in Switzerland. Kinesiology complements medical or psychotherapeutic care; it does not replace it.

Do you offer support for my situation?

I mainly offer support for childhood wounds and repeating patterns, low self-worth, disconnection from the body and emotions, coercive control and emotional dependency, anxiety and mental load, high sensitivity, addiction, learning and concentration difficulties, and fears and phobias. If you are not sure whether your situation is one of them, write to me or call me before booking: we will look at it together, with no obligation.

What happens during a session? Do I have to tell you everything?

In kinesiology you stay fully clothed, lying on the table. I test different muscles to find imbalances, then work with corrections adapted to what comes up. You do not have to tell everything: you share what you want, at your own pace, and the body does the rest.

Will I be judged?

No. The practice is a safe and inclusive space, LGBTQIA+ friendly, where you move at your own pace. You can come with what you are going through, just as you are going through it: nothing is “too much” or “not enough” here.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on your needs, but one to three sessions can already bring significant change. You book one session at a time, when you feel the need.

What is muscle testing?

Muscle testing is the basic tool of kinesiology: I apply light pressure to a muscle, often the arm, and observe how it responds. This response is used as an indicator to find what is creating stress in your body and to choose the most suitable correction. It is neither painful nor a test of strength.

Does this replace medical care or psychotherapy?

No. Kinesiology, breathwork and therapeutic yoga complement medical or psychotherapeutic care and do not replace it. I do not make diagnoses and I do not change any treatment: if you are under care, you continue your care.

Kinesiology, breathwork or therapeutic yoga: how do I choose?

Kinesiology suits you if you want to understand what keeps replaying inside you without necessarily telling everything. Breathwork suits you if you mainly need to release pressure and get out of your head. Therapeutic yoga suits you if you want to settle back into your body gently. If you are unsure, write to me: we will choose together.

Prices and reimbursement

How much does a session cost, and will my insurance pay?

A kinesiology session costs 180 CHF, a breathwork session 160 CHF and a therapeutic yoga session 120 CHF. Each session lasts between 60 and 75 minutes, and payment is made on site, by Twint or in cash. I am registered with the RME for kinesiology, which is covered by some supplementary insurance plans: the amount depends on your policy, so check with your insurer before you come.

What does “RME approved” mean?

People often say “RME approved”; the exact term is “registered with the RME”, the Swiss Register of Empirical Medicine. I am registered for kinesiology: its quality label certifies that I meet its criteria for training, practical experience and continuing education. Many supplementary insurers rely on this label, but it guarantees neither a result nor a reimbursement: each insurer decides according to your policy.

How do I know whether my supplementary insurance will reimburse me?

Call your insurer or check your online account, and ask whether your supplementary insurance covers kinesiology with an RME-registered therapist, at what percentage and up to what annual limit. Ask for this confirmation before your first session: basic health insurance (LAMal) does not cover these sessions. Then you pay for the session and send your invoice to your insurer.

How does payment work?

You pay on site, by Twint or in cash. Prices are in Swiss francs, all taxes included: that is the amount you pay.

Can I cancel or reschedule an appointment?

Yes, free of charge up to 24 hours before the appointment. After that, or if you miss the appointment, the session is charged, except in cases of force majeure.

Is there a student rate?

Yes, students get a 10% discount on sessions, because taking care of yourself should remain accessible.

Practical

Are online sessions possible?

Yes for breathwork and yoga, which can be done remotely, with a 10% discount. Breathwork is also offered in groups: write to me for the next dates. Kinesiology takes place at the practice in Geneva.

In which languages are sessions held?

Sessions take place in French, English or Spanish, depending on the language you are most comfortable speaking about yourself in.

Where is the practice?

The practice is at Rue du Grand-Pré 54, 1202 Geneva, on the 3rd floor, a short walk from Cornavin station. From the station, it is 2 stops on bus 8 to the Canonnière stop, or about 12 minutes on foot.

What should I wear, and what should I bring?

In kinesiology you stay fully clothed: come in clothes you feel comfortable in. For yoga and breathwork, loose, comfortable clothing is enough: all the equipment is provided on site.

Breathwork

What is breathwork?

Breathwork is a practice of conscious, guided breathing. Lying down with your eyes closed, you breathe in a precise rhythm while I guide you with my voice, music and essential oils. This practice helps release physical and mental tension and reconnect with yourself.

Is breathwork suitable for everyone?

Most people can practise it. Active breathing can, however, be intense: if you are pregnant, have a heart or respiratory condition or epilepsy, or are under psychiatric care, talk to your doctor and tell me before booking.

Therapeutic yoga

What is the difference between therapeutic yoga and a yoga class?

A yoga class follows a sequence planned for a group. A therapeutic yoga session is individual and built for you: the postures, breathing and relaxation are chosen according to your body and what you are going through. No level is required.

Coercive control

I am still in the relationship: can I come?

Yes. You do not need to have made a decision or to have “understood everything” to come. We start from where you are, at your own pace. If you are in immediate danger, call the police on 117 or emergency services on 144; to talk to someone at any time, 142 (victim support) is free and confidential.
